Aquaponic System Emergency | Drain & Venturi FAIL
G’Day Folks. Came home from a busy day out to find the filters & sump tank in the aquaponics almost dry and the pump screaming like a banshee.
So this is a bit of a cautionary tale when it comes to relying on a single source of air in an aquaponic system, especially when the backup system isn’t designed to switch on if the power doesn’t fail.
It also serves as a reminder to make sure all your major fittings are securely fastened to prevent them from losing water.
Luckily, it was a fairly easy fix to stop this from happening again.
