Saving basil seeds for your next harvest is a very easy process.. It is an easy task & the seeds also make great gifts for friends, family & strangers alike.. The main problem we have is the over active bees that like to cross pollinate the 4 different varieties giving us a varied mix of basil to choose from when it come to preparing meals..
The varieties we have are
Sweet basil – Ocimum basilicum
Opal basil – Ocimum basilicum ’Purpurascens’
Thai basil – Ocimum basilicum ’horapha’
Perennial/sacred/holy basil – ocimum basilicum americanum
