Received & released the 50 Jade perch & 50 Silver perch into the fish farm a few days ago.. 25 of each are to stay in the fish farm with the others going into other aquaponic systems we are about to build..
They have been in for 4 days so thought it’s safe to post the release clip now 😉
pH has risen a bit to 7, the water temp has stayed under 22°C/71.6°F.. The nutrient levels raised up a bit for the first 2 days but look to have settled at 2ppm on the colorimetric test chart for both the ammonia & nitrite..
Must say that it’s great to finally have them in & swimming happily & shall be posting updates on them in a few weeks..
Now the aquaculture system is up & running we can start to dismantle the old aquaponic system as we add in parts for the new system..
