Hi Folks. Here’s my take on an external bell siphon for multiple aquaponic/hydro grow beds.
A system like this would work great with the vertically cut ½ barrel beds or a bed around the 100L/26gal mark. You would need to increase the drain pipe diameter if you were to join beds made from IBC tanks/totes I would think.
I decided to go with the drain in the base of the barrels as I figured that the water pressure will help with a more complete draining of the beds.
Will be posting at least one more version of multiple beds using a single siphon next weekend if all goes well.
