This Summer we’ve decided to have a crack at growing some taro in the patch. I’ve planted a few rhizomes in some wicking gardens as well as the aquaponics to see how it goes. Taro is a staple carbohydrate of many communities in the Pacific & other tropical regions where it thrives in the heat. The leaves are edible after processing but we’re growing it for the rhizomes.
Many thanks again to Ben for the generosity he has shown us with the gift of the plants & seeds, really appreciate it mate.
